Dailyfish

The company needed to establish that buying fish need not always be a ‘smelly’ business and that frozen fish is not inferior to fresh fish.

Project Idea

Dailyfish is an ecommerce platform for online sales of seafood.

Target audience

The platform is targeted at sea food consumers in major cities of South India who do not have easy or comfortable access to fresh fish. A similar target market is the tech savvy people who are used to ordering products online to get delivered at their door steps.

Challenge

All platforms had to be developed in parallel.
The backend had to be integrated with SAP system.
They had promotions, offer campaigns, loyalty programs running in parallel. These were customer specific and had to be decided based on specific business logic.

Results

User experience got improved and the call centre operations were optimised. The iOS app was featured at 51st position on Top 200 shopping apps in India.

Main features of the project

Location based store selection.

The system previously had user’s pincode to identify the hub. This was changed to location fetching and identifying the Hub using Google Places API. This made it easier to pin point the customer location making it a seamless experience for the customer and easier for the delivery executives.

SAP Integration

All stock and order details was synced from the SAP backend. The Magento system was integrated to SAP to fetch these details in real time.

Delivery optimisation

The orders was synced to a delivery executive app, and the listing was to be sorted in such a way that the route to complete the delivery was the optimum route.
